Krishna Bala Shenoi

Krishna Bala Shenoi is a Bangalore-based illustrator and animator whose digitally hand-painted film work approaches cinema as a problem of light and interiority rather than composition. His poster for Synecdoche, New York engages with the film's claustrophobic scale — the particular texture of Kaufman's domestic despair — through a visual language that is layered and restrained. Alongside his film illustration practice, he has illustrated children's books for Scholastic, Penguin, and Tulika, and contributes portrait work to the Talk Easy podcast.
