Osgood Perkins

Oz Perkins (b. 1974) is an American filmmaker and actor whose work gravitates toward restrained, atmospheric horror. After early screen appearances—including a childhood role in Psycho II—he moved behind the camera with The Blackcoat’s Daughter, establishing a style defined by stillness, dread, and psychological ambiguity. Subsequent films such as I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Gretel & Hansel, and Longlegs favor mood over spectacle, building tension through quiet spaces and deliberate pacing. As co-founder of the production company Phobos, Perkins continues to shape contemporary horror with a measured, controlled sensibility.
