Tim Burton

Tim Burton (b. 1958) is an American filmmaker whose films blend gothic fantasy, dark humor, and storybook whimsy into a distinctly recognizable visual world. After breaking through with Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, he defined his style in films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Batman, later expanding it through works including Big Fish, Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd.
